Place 2Be

At Salusbury we believe that it is crucial to take a holistic view to child development and to support children in all areas of their life - not just academically.

With this in mind we have Place2Be working in our school for 3 days per week to support children, parents and staff. We have been working with Place 2Be for over a decade and firmly believe that it does vital work. In February 2016 our school was chosen to be featured within their campaign for Children's Mental Health Week. HRH Duchess of Cambridge came to visit the school and speak to some of the children who have used the service.

Place2Be provides emotional and therapeutic services in primary and secondary schools, building children's resilience through talking, creative work and play. Place2Be works with 282 primary and secondary schools, reaching a school population of 116,000 children, helping them to cope with wide-ranging and often complex social issues including bullying, bereavement, domestic violence, family breakdown, neglect and trauma.
