Salusbury World

We have great pleasure in inviting you to the second Salusbury World talk on Thursday, 2nd February at 7pm.
Lord Alf Dubs will discuss the plight of unaccompanied child refugees over the decades. Lord Dubs is one of the leading authorities and campaigners on refugee issues in the UK. He himself escaped the Nazis as a 6 year old child on the Kindertransport. Last year his "Dubs" amendment forced the government to promise to give sanctuary to some of the unaccompanied child refugees now in Europe. This will be an unmissable event for anyone interested in the reality - personal and political - of the current refugee crisis. This talk is put on by Salusbury World, refugee charity, and there will be an opportunity to support their vital work

Following on from Gulwali Passarlay's incredibly moving account of his journey from Afghanistan, this time we are fortunate enough to welcome Lord Dubs who also arrived in the UK as an unaccompanied child.

Lord Dubs is at the forefront of  campaigning on behalf of the thousands of child refugees who are stuck in camps across mainland Europe.

Please come to hear more about his work and how we can come together in support of young refugees.

Join us afterwards for refreshments and an opportunity to meet many friends working in this field.

We look forward to seeing you.
