Last Friday Salusbury celebrated their inaugural STEM day (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths). The theme of the day was vehicles and transport. All classes were involved in workshops throughout the day - from building trains from Duplo, firing rockets across the playground, using Lego to build flying machines and building and programming robots. Professor Bubbleworks also came to give a fantastic assembly to Key Stage to explain the role of forces in transport.
In addition to this children designed and built vehicles in the classroom, used the ICT suite to explore computer programming and explored forces further. Here are a few photos from our fantastic day.
The next STEM day will be on March 16th 2018
