Forest School

"Forest School is an inspirational process, that offers ALL learners regular opportunities to develop confidence and self- esteem through hands-on learning experiences in a woodland or natural enviroment with trees."
Forest School Association.

At Salusbury Primary School part of the learning journey of all our Nursery and Reception children involves Forest School.

My name is Sue Marshall, I'm a qualified Forest School Leader who is passionate about the outdoors and the positive impact it has on our children.
I'm lucky enough to be working alongside our wonderful Early Years team to ensure all our children benefit from Forest School, tailoring sessions to individual needs whilst complementing what the children have been learning in class.
Our magical Greenspace provides endless opportunities for curious minds to explore and flourish in a safe, stimulating environment. Each session as unique as the child and the nature they discover.

Research into the benefits of outdoor play/learning for children show improved mind and body, to a deeper lasting understanding and enjoyment of learning.

By using a Forest School approach we aim to promote the holistic development of all involved, fostering resilient, confident, independent and creative learners.
