Salusbury’s partnership with a Gambian village primary started in 2009 and is an important part of our Global Citizenship work.
We have supported the PTA of Mbollet-ba school to rebuild collapsing buildings, put water and solar power on site, and we also work with the Mbollet-ba community on projects in health and development. Our teachers exchange ideas and train together.
Thanks to a shared English curriculum, Salusbury pupils and their families can transfer in term-time to Mbollet-ba for a unique educational experience and a close-up encounter with the Developing World.
Nearly 100 members of the Salusbury community have taken advantage of this opportunity - they include pupils, teachers, parents, grandparents and friends. Class teachers can tell you more, or contact International Co-ordinator Ana Chapela.
